He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary (Allsopp); his parents, John and Elizabeth (Ervine); his mother-in-law Ethyl (Barksfield); his brother-in-law Eric (Lockrane); and his nephew Adrian (Goss).

He is survived by: his wife Sharyn; his children, David (Sara), Karen (Jason) and Darryl (Jenn); his stepchildren, Gregory (Andrea) and DeAnne; his grandchildren, Owen, Emily, Alexandra, Addison, Connor and Logan; and his sisters, Mary (Stan) and Margaret (Nol).

Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation or Canadian Cancer Society.
