In loving memory of Richard Brian Whaley (Kitchener, Ontario), who departed this world on October 11, 2025 at the age of 79. Richard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa Whaley; his parents, John Whaley (Jack) and Cecilia Whaley; and his siblings, Jay Whaley and Marianne Ackland.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda, Benjamin (Sarah) and Colin Dear (Bella Phan); and his grandchildren, Indigo, Jack, Ava Will and Mark Whaley (family: Kasey Locke, Patricia Crosby, Janice Buttee, Kristin Butts, Lorraine Whaley, Helen Szymkiw). He is also survived by family, Kasey Locke and family, Patricia Crosby and family, Janice Buttee and family, Kristin Butts and family, Lorraine Whaley and family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (https://www.heartandstroke.ca) or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
