He was predeceased by : his father Robert; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Betty Abercromby; his brother-in-law Bruce; and his niece Ashley.

He is survived by : his children, Beth (Ronnie), Scott (Jenna) and Matthew (Sarah); his grandchildren, Jamie, Jonny, Henry, Charlie, Anna, William, Molly, Graham and Ryan; his mother Eileen; and his sister Karen (John).
