We announce the death of Robertson Vincent Gibbons (Kitchener, Ontario), who passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 93. Robertson will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Margaret (Conrad Myers), Joan (Glen Welton), Gertrude (Kevin Donovan), Gordon, Wilfrid (Marjorie) and James (Sheila); his daughter-in-law Jeanette; and his grandson Steven.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Douglas (Cheryl), Duncan (Karen), David, Donald (Natalie) and Linda (Rick); and his sisters-in-law, Maureen and Mary. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society - Waterloo Wellington (https://alzheimer.ca) would be appreciated by the family. Donations may be made at the funeral home or online directly through the charity's website.
