She was predeceased by: her parents, John McIntosh and Genevieve McIntosh; her husband Ronald Joseph Gillis (Joe); and her sisters, Charlotte Bessette and Joan Morgan.

She is survived by: her daughter Carol Watson (Waterloo); her son-in-law Lee Watson; her son Brian (Chicago); her daughter-in-law Katharine Thompson; her brothers, John and Reg (Glace Bay); and her grandchildren, Claire Genevieve and Owen Arthur.
