He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Matilda Simpson and Violet; his siblings, Evelyn, William, Ruth, Verna, Charles Jr. and Violet Mary Jane (Caroline); and his nephew Chuck.
He is survived by: his significant other Ruth Emma Shantz; his daughter Lois Simpson (Joe Van Horn); his granddaughters, JoAnn Stempien (Nick) and Jennelle Thomson (Dwalu); and his great grandchildren, Nicholas, Josianne, Emiline and Ethan.
