It is with sadness that the passing of Roy John Dietrich (Kitchener, Ontario) is shared. Roy, born on August 16, 1949, passed away on October 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Dietrich and Caroline Dietrich; his brothers, Allen and Douglas (Peggy); and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann and Yvonne.
He is survived by: his children, Dean (Trish), Rob (Jen), Jacqueline (Kirby), Paul (Cheryl), Rhonda and Melina; his grandchildren, Cassidy (David), Kyle (Abbi), Mitchell, Christian, Caroline (Mason), Jay, Erik, Alexandra (Josh), Matthew, Nicole and Chloe; his great grandchildren, May and Lily; his siblings, Rosemary (late Art) and Bruce (Brenda); his in-laws, Adrian (Mary) and Anne Marie (Rod); his former wife Gloria; his close friend Raffi; his caregivers, Rachel and Chad; and his close friend Dave Nice.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the WRHN Foundation (https://wrhnf.ca) or Food Bank of Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family. Donations may be made at the funeral home or online through the charity's website.
