He was predeceased by : his former life partner Shirley; his wife Marnie; his parents, Stewart and Isobel; and his siblings, Betty Pisorski (Carl), Shirley Rothwell (George) and Donna Johnson (Ted).

He is survived by : his children, Gary (Debbie), Guy (Julie) and Glen; his grandchildren, Stephen Burkholder, Ryan Burkholder (Amanda), Andrea Thornton (Mike), Lyndsay O'Halloran (Patrick), Michael Burkholder, Justin Burkholder (Ash), Matthew Burkholder (Kendra), Max Burkholder and Hannah Burkholder; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Emily, Aryana, Ryker, Lincoln, Julia, Harrison, Parker, Rhett, Leighton and Avi; his brothers, Ted Burkholder (Diane) and Chuck Burkholder (Doris); and his friend Carole Beland. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary's R.C. Church (Tiny Home Take Out program) would be appreciated by the family.
