He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Tena; his children, Debbie Luft (Bob) and Tom Eason; his grandchildren, Ryan (Caitlin) of Ashley, TJ and Michelle (John); his great grandchildren, Logan, Dustin, Pearl, June, Levi, Duke and Beau; and his sister Gloria Cassel.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation - Juravinski Cancer Centre or the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation - Cardiac Care would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
