He was predeceased by: his brother Slobodan; his sibling-in-law Slavica (Cvetan); and his sibling's child Vojna. He is survived by: his spouse Stoja Markovic; his children, Janice Campbell (David), Marko Markovic (Jennifer) and John Markovic (Michelle); his grandchildren, Alex, Sofia, Anna, Adam and Lydia; his siblings, Stana (Momcilo), Ruza (Savo), Cvijetin (Mara) and Joka (Savo); his sibling-in-law Zoran (Stojanka); and his siblings' children, Joysee, Johnny, Miladin, Miodrag, Radenko, Radislav, Mico, Maja, Goran, Svetlana and Danijela.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A prayer was held on Monday, March 2nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church (700 Fischer-Hallman Rd, Kitchener, ON N2E1L7). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Williamsburg Cemetery (1541 Fischer-Hallman Rd, Kitchener, ON N2R1P6). A reception was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church (700 Fischer-Hallman Rd, Kitchener, ON N2E1L7).

He was known for his sense of humour, willingness to help others and contributions to the local Serbian Orthodox community.
