He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet Matilda "Tillie" (Hertfelder) and Charles Tindall; his siblings, Evelyn Urbach (Hugh), Ruth Tease (Bob), Violet Simpson, Verna and Charles Simpson; and his sister-in-law Ruth Simpson.

He is survived by: his wife Audrey (Sillick); his children, Dale Polzin (Tom) and Stephen Simpson (Susan); his grandchildren, Lisa (Patrick), Laura (Michael), Jason (Theresa), Luke (Lauren) and Neil (Lindsey); his great grandchildren, Liam, Charlotte, Alexander, Cassandra, Wyatt, Aidan, Cole and Grayson; his siblings, Ross Simpson and Mary Jane Simpson; and his sibling-in-law Jean Simpson.

Donations to the War Amps or the Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kitchener would be appreciated.
