He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Rothenberg and William Rothenberg (Bill); his son Jeffery Wayne; his in-laws, Frank and Eleanor Simpkins; and his brother Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Fran; his children, Terri Parr (Robert) of Charlotte and Ian Rothenberg (Melissa) of Heidelberg; his grandchildren, Alexander, Ethan Parr, Zoe and Tessa Rothenberg; his brothers, Ron of Fergus, Brian (Lynda) of Owen Sound and Brent of Southampton; and his brother-in-law Dave Simpkins of Kitimat, BC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
