It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry Ernest Akers of Lakefield, Ontario, who passed away on May 28, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ron Akers and Eleanor Akers; his parents-in-law, Earle and Ferna Stockdale; his brother Don Akers; and his brother-in-law Brian Stockdale.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Akers; his sons, Andrew Akers and Jason Akers (Amy); his sisters, Diane Fraser (Paul) and Carolyn Akers; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Stockdale (Laura), Donrey McIntosh, Karen Brunton (Bob) and Elizabeth Stockdale. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
