He was predeceased by: his uncle Dennis Toms (Linda). He is survived by: his parents, David Nelson and Normajean Nelson; his daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Heather Alyssa; the mother of his children Mary Cawker-Nelson; his brother Drew (Carrie); his sibling's children, Josh, Amanda and Natasha; his aunts, Ruth (Hank Stegenga), Dawn (Gord Charity), Karen (Len Heise) and Joann Freeborn; his uncle Dwight (Ilse Toms); and his friend Kelli Lovell. He is also survived by many cousins, friends.

In honour of Brad's life, the family would like you to consider making a memorial donation to Toronto Hospital for Sick Children Foundation, who provided life-saving care for Brad at 13 days of age.
