It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian Wayne Sargent of Lakefield, Ontario, who passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon William John Sargent and Elizabeth "Betty" Jean Sargent (Nee Lafave); his brother Roy Sargent; and his significant other's son Jayme Bolton. He is survived by: his significant other Sherri Bolton (Nee Preston); his children, Brent Sargent (April) and Christine Sargent (John); his grandchildren, Daniel Sargent-Cowles, Cameron Sargent and Jaden Rowe; his siblings, Gordon Sargent and Shelley Newton (Gary); his significant other's daughter Jennifer Heard (Chris); Madison and Loghan.
