He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys (Aldred); his sister Madeline Bencze (Joseph); and his siblings-in-law, Marguerite Clarke (George) and Roy Aldred (Barbara). He is survived by: his children, Sheri Hayward (John) of Peterborough and Terry Christie of Lakefield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
