It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Alan McLaughlin of Lakefield, Ontario, who passed away on April 20, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Vera McLaughlin (Lunnon) and Donald McLaughlin; his siblings, Kathleen Gaffney (Edward) and Donald Clarence McLaughlin (Clare); his daughter-in-law Tracy McLaughlin (Jolley); and also Ian McLaughlin.

He is survived by : his daughter Lisa Mace of Apsley; his grandsons, Seth McLaughlin LaRose and Zane Mace; his son Chris McLaughlin of Hamilton; his grandchildren, Simon McLaughlin and Avery McLaughlin; his stepgrandchildren, Eric Reesor (Cassie) and Krysta Reesor; his sister Doris Burt (Lawrence) of St. Albert; and also, Roran, Mira, Kaylee and Eleanor of Napanee. He is also survived by children, grandchildren, and other family, friends.

A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hendren Funeral Home - Lakefield Chapel (66 Queen St, Lakefield, ON K0L2H0). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
