She was predeceased by : her siblings, Childs (D. Fred), Keith Gillespie (D. Etta) and Dora Rivers (D. Bill); and her parents, Adlaide Gillespie and Melville Gillespie.

She is survived by : her husband Ross Ellement; her children, Anita Ellement (Lucas Hettich), Michelle Ellement (Robert Conium) and Darryl Ellement (Katie); her grandchildren, Taylor, Sydney, Jacob, Nicole and Mitchell; and her siblings, Tom Gillespie (Stella), Ross Gillespie (Nancy) and Marie Cornish (D. Edgar).
