With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Janet Edwards of Lakefield, Ontario, who passed away on June 16, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brothers, William Peter and Ian Alexander Simpson; and her parents, John Peter and Mary Doris Simpson. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathryn Leigh Edwards "Katie" and Alexandra Elizabeth Shea "Alex"; her children-in-law, Matthew Trevor Shea and Moon Doggie; her sibling Jean Marie "Jeannie" Buckles; her brother-in-law Jeff Buckles of Calgary; her nephews, Adam (Lisa) and Aaron Buckles (Michelle) of Calgary; her grandchildren, Jack William Shea, Austin John Shea, Gemma Ann Shea, Levi Thomas Samuel Yamchuk and Vera Alexandra Yamchuck; and her friend John Byrne.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hendren Funeral Homes Lakefield Chapel (66 Queen St, Lakefield, ON K0L2H0).
