He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Gardiner and Nellie Gardiner; his siblings, Russell (Korea), Frances Patterson (Kenneth) and Verna Bell (Carmen); his brother-in-law Milton McConnell; and his nephew Howard Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda May (McConkey); his daughters, Kathryn McConnell (Larry) and Nancy Thomas (Lanny); his sister-in-law June McConnell; and his nieces, Sylvia Jay (Keith), Karen Phillips (Randy), Barbara Waldron (Robert) and Patti Cawker (Steve Chiang).
