He was predeceased by: his wife Lily (Blodgett); his children, Karen Dewart (Hugh) and Ken Patterson; his grandchildren, John Dewart (Chantelle Penney) and Rachel Dewart (Chris Richardson); his great grandchildren, Noah and Lily Richardson; his parents, Alexander Patterson and Florence Patterson (McClusky); and his in-laws, Clarence and Emma Blodgett (Fredricks).
He is survived by: his siblings, Norman Patterson and Sandra Patterson; and his sister-in-law Corinne Nicholson (Allan Bristoe).
