She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Norton and Stella Norton. She is survived by : her husband Arthur Gilligan; her children, Lisa Kourkafas (Paul), Shelley Frechette (Marty) and Sean Gilligan (Melissa); her stepson Bryan Gilligan (Sandra); her grandchildren, Thomas Gilligan, Cameron Frechette and Rhiannon Gilligan; and her sister Julia Zacharuk. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the George Darte Funeral Home (585 Carlton St, St. Catharines, ON L2M 4Y1).
