She was predeceased by: her spouse Leigh Irwin Hanes; her parents, Edna Brohart and Ernest Brohart; her daughter Laura Lynn Hanes; her grandchildren, Crystal and Jason; and her brothers, Reginald, Lloyd and Orville Brohart.

She is survived by: her children, Sue Dowdell (Terry), Bill Hanes, Debbie Walsh (Steve), Neil Hanes and Evan Hanes; her grandchildren, Jeff (Lee), Tara (Craig), Leigh (Dee), Amber (Randy), Kristen (Andrew), Erin (Mike) and Addikin; and her siblings, Luella Olsen and Lavern Brohart (Marie). She is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren.
