She was predeceased by: her son Rick; her siblings, Mervyn, Lorne Hazelton and Mary York; her parents, Fred Hazelton and Elizabeth Hazelton; and her husband Harry Hawkins.

She is survived by: her sibling's children, Judy (late Dave), Larry, Marylou (Frank), Doug (Kim), David (Janice), Sheila (Roger) and Carol (Gord); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Cindy, Tracey, James, Morgan, Tess, Andrew, Cameron, Doug, Stuart, Kyle, David, Hannah, Louis, Russel, Ashley and Allison; and her close friends, Rose, Paul Smith and Marg Matheson.
