He was predeceased by: his sisters, Mary and Laura; and his parents, Norman and Edith. He is survived by: his spouse Sandy; his children, Doug Jr. (Sheila), Christine (Joe Owen), Bob (Kathy Nesbitt), Dwayne and John (Natalie); his stepchildren, Kim (Martin Wagget) and Mark Greenslade (Mike Lamothe); his brother David (late Gloria); his grandchildren, Jackie, Rich Myran, Michael Boddy (Beth), Anna Marie Boddy, Aly, Chad Owen, Tabitha Nesbitt, Nathan Combdon, Brad (Shelby) and Kyle Doyle; his great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Odin, Myles, Olivia, Nicholas, Jacob, Logan, Michala, Gregory and Ryan; and his siblings-in-law, Susan (John Ashdown), Cathi (Lex Mackenzie) and Paul Akehurst (Joanne Winslow-Spragge). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
