Elma Josephine Giltenan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elma Josephine Giltenan (Lindsay, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2026 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elma Josephine Giltenan to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Stephens and Minnie Stephens; her husband Patrick James Giltenan; her grandson Daniel; and her siblings, Ralph, Hugh, Ted, Ken, Grant, Lillian, Marg and Amy.
She is survived by: her children, Rose Marie Gauthier (Michel), Anne Dufoe (Kevin), Stephen Giltenan (Wendy), Monica Sturge (Barry) and Terrie Bell (Richard); her grandchildren, Renée, Nicole, Yvonne, Denis, Erin, Kimberly, Jessamyn (Ian), Shelly (Dan), Sean, Mathew (Kimberley), Jonn (Natasha) and Luke (Alicia); her great grandchildren, Whitney, Bryan, Meredith, Hazel, Beau, Hunter, Owen, Trinity, Eliza, Kaiden, Sawyer, Lincoln, Colt, Lukas and Maisie; her sister Joan; and her caregiver Brie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stoddart Funeral Home (24 Mill St, Lindsay, ON K9V2L1). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church (31 Russell St E, Lindsay, ON K9V 2A4).
