He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Peters; his significant other Emily Mills; his parents, Charles Peters and Minnie Peters; his stepmother Pauline Peters; and his siblings, Walter, Donald, Gordon, Ronald, Margaret Seeley, Joyce Henry and Shirley Ellis.

He is survived by: his children, Rich Peters (Cheryl) and Patti Hutton (late Jeff); his grandchildren, Erin (Nick), Megan (Mike), Dane (Phoebe) and Laura (Brendan); his great grandchildren, Findley, Mackenzie, Ashton, Drew, Jackson and Leo; and his sisters, Carol McLaughlin and Barb Bailey.
