He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Mitchell and Jean Mitchell; and his siblings, Ross and Helen. He is survived by: his daughter Kim; his son-in-law Mike Staples; his grandchildren, Abby and Cody; and his siblings, Verna, Marilyn (Don), Gloria (Joe) and Owen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
