He was predeceased by: his wife June Eakins; and his brother Earl Thurston (Marion). He is survived by: his children, Catherine Thurston-Bassarab of Kitchener, Carolyn Sturges of Kitchener and Arthur (Ottilia) of Lindsay; his grandchildren, Julia, Bradley, Nicole, Scott and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Ewan, Anna and Lucy Haig; and his sister Anna Thurston (late Jack) of Lindsay.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions numbers are limited to 10 people in the funeral home, all guests are required to wear a mask or face covering and complete a screening process.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to either the Heart & Stroke Association or the Lindsay Sports Hall of Fame - Bob Fund.
