He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Florence; and his sister Hazel Bond. He is survived by: his spouse Eleanor Gimblett; his daughters, Carla Powell (Lakey), Nancy Burda (Joe) and Denise Barker (Klaus); his grandchildren, Allison (Cam), Sarah, Grant (Leslie), James (Stephanie) and Laura; his great grandchild Teddy; and his friend Anglican Church.
