He was predeceased by: his brothers, John Grieder and Gordon Grieder. He is survived by: his children, Justin Grieder of Lindsay and Kristen (Darryl LaValley) of Lindsay; his grandchildren, Aubree LaValley and Owen LaValley; his siblings, Rose Mary Garcia of Toronto, Albert Grieder of Oshawa and Vickie Grieder of Lindsay; and his significant other Dawn Grieder.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque through the funeral home to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes.
