He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfrid West and Jessie West; his siblings, Lorne West (late Helen) and Evelyn Curtis (late Allen); and his father-in-law James Brownridge.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Anne; his daughter Karen; his siblings, Helen Glassford (late Grant), Dorothy Kay (late Glen Kay), Audrey Curtis (late Alfred), Keith West (Cathy) and Ernie West (Shari); his mother-in-law Leona Brownridge; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Brownridge (late Barbara) and Jean Crawford (Gord). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends.

If desired, a memorial donation to the Parkinson's Society, the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation, Peterborough Regional Health Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
