He was predeceased by: his sister Joanne Burgess; his mother Patricia Rice; and his grandmother Louisa V. Shone. He is survived by: his children, Christopher, Erin, Jesse (Ashtyn) and Emily; his grandchild Rowan; and his siblings, John (Maria), Doug, Don (Wendy), Gerald, Lorelei Ravary, Ed and Shirley Rice. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
