She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Eakins; her stepchildren, Gord (Julie), Steve (Loretta), Doug (Linda) and Glen; her parents, Cora Trembley and Hubert O'Keefe; and her brother Francis.

She is survived by: her daughters, Maureen Hodges (John) and Peggy Shaughnessy (Steve); her granddaughters, Kate, Liz, Brooke Shaughnessy, Theresa and Patricia Baye; her daughter-in-law Margaret Eakins; her grandchildren, Dallas (Lori), Kim, Mark, Terri (Jake), Stephanie (Tabbatha), Tammy (Jordie) and Reginald (Lindsay); and her brother John O'Keefe (Charlene). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
