We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2021, Shirley Thornton (Lindsay, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her former life partner Barry McLean. She is survived by : her husband Greg Thornton; her children, Dione McLean (Fran Watson), Tina Cameron (Steve), Kimberley McLean, John McLean (Jennifer), Mike Thornton (Lisa) and Michelle Kooistra (Richard); her grandchildren, Hailee Watson (Brad), Tyler Watson (Sarah), Anna-Marie Hickson, Blake Hickson (Melissa), Ashley Hickson (Greg), Hannah Hickson, James Brooks, Samuel Blodgett, Aurora Blodgett, Hunter McLean, Autumn McLean, Payton McLean, Connor Thornton and Christina Thornton; her great grandchildren, Dayton, Aaliyah, Gavin, Olivia and Charlee-Marie; and her siblings, Dianne Russell (Peter), Linda Steele (Tom) and Johnny Hanna. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

If desired, a memorial donation to the St. Mary's Cemetery, Lifford or the Boy's and Girl's Club of Kawartha Lakes or a local charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
