She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Connell and Simon Connell Sr.; and her siblings-in-law, Francis Recker, James Recker, Patrick Recker, Cathy Recker, Alice Recker and Harold Renaud.
She is survived by: her husband Bernard Recker Sr.; her children, Mary Helen (David Moes), Bernadette (Scott MacFadyen), Bernard Jr., Sean (Lois), Daniel (Unus) and Doug (Alicia); her siblings, Simon Connell (Gloria), Patrick Connell (Mary), Michael Connell (Beryl), Jeannette (Ted Dobroshinsky), Clayton Connell (Rosemary), Charles Connell (Mary Jo) and Christopher Connell (Verna); and her sisters-in-law, Catherine Renaud and Elizabeth Recker. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, their spouses, their children and their grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Luke's Church (340 St Lukes Rd, Downeyville, ON K9V 4R5, Kawartha Lakes, ON K9V4R5). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, and to honour Ursula's love for babies, donations may be made online or via cheque through the Stoddart Funeral Home to the Missionary Society of St. Paul Inc. (https://www.zeffy.com), for their family mission project, Maisel Home Project, for giving a safe-haven to young homeless pregnant women and their babies.
