She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Clifford, Lillian Young, Donald and Mary Martin. She is survived by: her parents, Jim Young and Jean Young; her siblings, Marty, Joanne, Jamie, Cheryl, Liane and Paul; her siblings' children, Kayla, Erica, Bryan, Jodi, Jordan, Olivia, Tyler, Kaitlin, Brody, Kara, Rebecca and Cody; her great-niece Aubree; and her great-nephews, Logan and Callum. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Karen's name.
