She was predeceased by : her husband Tom William Dewar; her parents, Russ Pestell and Mary Pestell; her siblings, Donna Nicholls, Jack Pestell (Lillian), Joe Pestell, Rae Pestell and Delores Buchanan; and her brother-in-law Roger Strachan.

She is survived by : her children, Deb Best, Paul Dewar (Jodie) and Greg Dewar (Cindy); her grandchildren, Dennis Dewar (Mel), Darryl Dewar (Lisa), Candace Dewar (Jeramey Dinsmore) and Chelsea Scholl (Steve); her great grandchildren, Lily, Bryson, Emmett, Charlie and Hudson; her siblings, Larry Pestell (Arlene Reihl), Robert Pestell, Faye Welsh (late Paul Welsh) and Mary Strachan; her siblings-in-law, Andy Buchanan (Marion) and Pauline Pestell (Elaine Pestell); and her friend Clarence Johnston.
