He is survived by : his wife Joan Little; his children, Fred, Tony, David, Tim (Gorete), Rosemary (Carlos) and Naomi (Mark); his grandchildren, Monica (Clint), Melissa (Harry), Roslyn (Kris), Matthew, Ana Laura (Juan Carlos), Sara, Emily (Chris) and Alexandra; his great grandchildren, Cameron, Thomas, Ellie, Ruby, Tiago, Graysen and Alden; his siblings, Olive and Ernest (Maureen); his sister-in-law Nancy (Larry); his nieces, Alice (Jeff), Charlene (Brandon) and Natalie (Dave); and his extended family Alberta.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or the North Huron FoodShare would be appreciated.

“Dear Joan and all the Bird kids, Please accept my sympathies for your loss of Ray. I was lucky enough to navigate that long lane and have a short visit with Ray and Joann a few years ago. I remember Ray buying my World Book set of encyclopedias about 62 years ago. I couldn’t afford the payments! I have many fond memories of S.S. # 4 and the Birds were a big part of them.”
