It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cecilia Colleen Moodie (Little Current, Ontario), who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Moodie; her grandchildren, Heather (Don MacIntosh), Jennifer, Maija (Ryan Craig), Shane (Kelly Stafford), Morgan (Hannah Moodie), Amy (Andrew Ivens), Ken (Fiona Manning), Colleen (Tyler Greenough) and Sophie; her great grandchildren, Logan, Rhys MacIntosh, Owen Meating, Brenden Vresk, Ava, Colin, Brynn Craig, James, Charlotte Moodie and Margaret Moodie; her parents, Owen Maguire and Amy Maguire; her brothers, John, Jim, Beverley and Bernard; her sisters-in-law, May (John), Donna (Jim), Ann (Beverley), Karen (Bernard) and Leeson; and her brothers, Lyle (Florence) and Don (Earlene).
She is survived by: her children-in-law, Michael, Nancy, Kim, Terry, Shane, Sheila, Robin and Alison. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Island Funeral Home O/O Simpson Funeral Home (36 Worthington St, Little Current, ON P0P1K0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at the Hilly Grove Cemetery.
Memorial donations to The Kenneth and Colleen Moodie Endowment Fund at Algoma University, the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library children's collection or Algoma Regional Community Hospice (ARCH) will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
