It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marinus Willem Bakker (Londesborough, Ontario), who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Neale, Connor Stephens, Mikayla, Travis Brown, Reid and Morgan Bakker; his siblings, Aantje and Tom Robinson; his siblings-in-law, Barb Bakker, Helen, Fred Gnuechtel, Janet and Ray Beldmen; his daughter Karen Bakker-Stephens; his parents, Rimmer Bakker and Gerritje Bakker; his siblings, Teade Bakker and Eefje MacLean; his nephew Steve MacLean; and his parents-in-law, Albert and Gerda Postma.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Bakker of Auburn; and his children, Michael Stephens of Caledonia, Ruth Anne and Courtney Bakker of Clarkson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Londesborough United Church (338 King's Rd, Londesborough, ON N0M2H0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
