He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice; his parents, Mabel Pollex and John Lynn; his stepsisters, Marjorie Fansett and Audrey Taylor; and his grandson Tyler.

He is survived by: his children, Michael, Ruth (Larry) and Stephen (Shawna); his grandchildren, Adam, Bryan, Kelly, Amanda, Michael Jr., Ashley, Jayme and Brendan; and his sister Barbara Hutchinson (Robert). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
