She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Anita Florencia Semelhago; her husband Bernard; her children, Arlene Alvares, Celina Lee (Ron), Gavin Semelhago (Tanya) and Lloyd Semelhago (Cosete); her grandchildren, Laura, Ryan, Charlie, Nicholas, Jonathan, Claire, Liam, Mark, Andrew and Justin; and her siblings, Stan (Debra), Beryl, Cecil (Lily) and Joyce (Shaukat). She was also cherished by her mother, grandmother and younger siblings.
