He was predeceased by: his wife Judith De Medeiros; his siblings-in-law, Isaltina and Ernesto; his parents, Manuel and Maria (Carmo De Medeiros); his brother Manuel (Maria Eduarda); and his siblings-in-law, Odilia, Maria (Virgilo) of Luz, Diniz (Georgina), Conceicao (Ernesto), Jose and Anibal.

He is survived by: his children, Louisa Pileggi (Tony), Zenalia Vetere (Carlo), Sandra Salgado (Paulo), Susan Ayres (David) and Tammy Teixeira (Carlos); his siblings, Martin (Connie), Fatima (Louis), Joe (Mary), Geraldina (Joe) and Oliver (Yaima); and his sister-in-law Hilda. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and godchildren.

A prayer was held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home (362 Waterloo St, London, ON N6B2N6). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Church (10 Elm St, London, ON N5Z2K2). An entombment was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Peter's Cemetery (806 Victoria St, London, ON N5Y4E1).
