She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Armstead; her parents, Margaret Buchanan and David Buchanan; her brother James Buchanan; her aunt Ann; and her uncle Edward Montgomery.

She is survived by: her children, Martha Benjamin and Jody (Tony Knoop); her grandchildren, Daryl Meriam (Lyndi), Kyle Benjamin (Amanda), Cassandra Benjamin (Kyle) and Thomas Overboe; and her great grandchildren, Reagan, Weston, Jackson and Vaeda.
