She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Barr; and her daughter Janine Horton. She is survived by: her children, Gena McCoy (Clyde) and Todd Horton (Nicole); her grandchildren, Madison, Nicholas McCoy, Sarah, Evan Horton and Jacob Horton (Sarah); her brother Bill Schafer; her great grandchild Haley Horton; and her pet Daisy.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
