He is survived by: his friend Pope Saint John Paul II; and his siblings, Gerald (Bernice), Eleanor Monahan (Edward), Allan (Anne-Marie) and Catherine Sherlock. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces, and great-nieces and –nephews.
