He was predeceased by: his wife Susan; his daughter Wendy; his parents, Hughie Smith and Laura Smith; and his siblings, Marlene (Stan) and Barry (Dorothy).

He is survived by: his children, Jay, Holly and Danny (Missy); his grandchildren, Deon, Brandon, Jordan and Araya; his great grandchild Daylin; and his brother Ron (Gay).
