He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Turkstra and Tina Turkstra. He is survived by: his wife Kate Turkstra; his children, Peter (Karen Turkstra) and Jennifer Turkstra (Matthew Soar); his grandchildren, Sarah, Laura, Kate and Max; and his siblings, Herman Turkstra, Clifford Turkstra and Marlene Verduyn.
