He was predeceased by: his wife Irene. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Richard Sam Nathalie (Karin), Linda-Lulu Laura Ryan, River Savanna McKaila Jake and Chandeville Greyson; and his sibling Doug of Australia. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews.
